Celebrities came out in droves to toast to luminaries of the Latin Music world with Hennessy, BMI and Mun2. Dominican merengue urbano singer Omega and R&B sensation Miguel, celebrated their first Latin GRAMMY® experience at the invite only affair which went down at Mix Restaurant & Lounge at the top of THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. Omega surprised the crowd with an impromptu performance, infecting the same spirit into Del Patio's Sensato, who also graced the microphone with his hit single Watagapitusberry.
The all-star cast included singer Alex Cuba, who had plenty to celebrate, as he just snagged the coveted “Best New Artist” award. Cuba toasted alongside other 2010 Latin GRAMMY® nominees, Koko (Best New Artist), Banda De Turistas (Best Rock Song/Best Alternative Music Album), Perrozompopo (Best Alternative Music Album) and singer, Jandy Ventura, who glowed with pride, as his father Mr. Johnny Ventura performed as the closing Award show act.
Additionally, singers Frankie J, **Del Patio’s Sensato, salsa trio N’Klabe, Bachata Heightz, Malverde, radio personality Laura Stylez and Boy Wonder contributed to the night’s energy as they sipped on Hennessy Privilege signature cocktails. The Jabbawockeez dance troupe, who performed with Nelly Furtado at the awards, kept the gyrations going on the dance floor, which was crowded with a host of celebutantes and music industry scenesters swaying to the sounds of Hennessy Privilege official DJs, DJ Lobo and DJ Eddy One.
VIP guests were gifted limited edition Hennessy Privilege golden gift boxes baring the official Latin GRAMMY® emblem.
